WOW been a long time since I've posted anything. Been wanting to post a training log for some time, so I'll be repurposing this blog to post my gym and archery trainings

without further ado...

FIRST EVER LOG!

GYM

Time: 12pm, after torts
Sleep: 3.5 hours
Food: Had a piece of bread and a cup of iced coffee in morning

Warm-up
Quad, groin, hamstring, glute sitting stretch - can tell my hamstrings are getting looser!

Timothy hip stretches - these really hurt, in a good way

Front, side quad, hamstring, calves, back foam roll - quads really really hurt

Glute ball roll

Deadlift - 110x10 (overhand grip)

Work set

Deadlifts
110x10 (overhand)
120x8 (overhand)
140x4 (overhand)
160x1 (mixed)
170x1 (mixed, w/ belt)

Sumo deadlifts
140x3 (mixed)
140x2
140x1
Right glute spasmed after last lift.
Wasn't really tired from deadlifting, but had to stop because of the grip. Need to find a solution to this weak grip! Form improving, felt pretty good all the way to the final set.

Leg Press
120x5
170x5
220x5
270x3

Went all the way to the bottom stop for all lifts! Feels good man. Hip pain completely gone (thanks to the timothy stretches i guess)

Bench
60x20x2

Not sure why i even did this lol.

ARCHERY

Went for TWAO Compound Open on saturday (50m, 5 ring 80cm face). Plenty of super pro archers!

Scored pretty badly, 287/360 for both rounds. Kept shooting the wrong board (did this 3 times)

1     8 8 8 7 6 M
2     X 10 9 9 9 9
3     10 9 8 8 8 8
4     10 10 9 8 8 M
5     X 9 9 8 8 6
6     10 10 9 7 6 6

1     X 9 9 9 8 7
2     9 9 8 8 8 7
3     9 8 8 8 7 7
4     10 10 10 8 8 M
5     10 9 9 9 8 6
6     10 9 9 8 6 M

3 of the Ms were cause I shot the wrong board (which was stupid, and inexcusable). 1 was because I punched the trigger on release (string went forward but i didnt release, didnt keep a tight enough anchor). The 6s were also generally because of punching.

Conclusion: Need to work on my anchor. Must find a permanent anchor point. Also need to work on release consistency. Should consider getting a back tension release!
